A REAL Pot Pie - Featured Meat: Beef




Historically speaking, pot pies were all about the meat. No gravy would have ever been allowed, & veggies were only used if there was a "lesser" cut of meat used. If one was lucky enough to afford & find a prime cut, though, the meat was showcased in nothing but a crust.

To add a little balance and flavor, I add just a few veggies. Even so, this recipe is truly all about the meat. And, I have to admit that the genius really is in the dish's simplicity.
